DRYMUD
SLUDGE DEYDRATION THROUGH FILTRATION SACKS
DRYMUD is the technology we suggest to dehydrate excess sludge resulting from wastewater purification.
The heart of the system is a special filtration sack made of waterproof non-woven fabric (polypropylene) material. Once the filling stage on the machine is finished, the sacks are removed and stored in the open, to further enhance the dehydration process.
DRYMUD – MONOBLOC SLUDGE DEHYDRATION PLANT is recommended for sludge reconditioning at farming reuse purposes. DRYMUD fits with
- Civil biological plants
- Diaries
- Agribusinesses
- Slaughterhouses and meat-packing industry
- Laundries, especially industrial ones
- Marble industry
The special material allows dehydration of the contents of the sacks but prevents rainwater ingress.
The main savings arise from cheap maintenance and low energy consumption, although further savings may arise from disposing dried sludge instead of liquid one. Companies handling special waste, charge customers a certain price to pick up 1 mc of liquid sludge featuring, as an assumption, 1% dry fraction. Once the sludge has undergone the dehydration process and has been stored in the open, the related dry fraction rises up to 40%. As a consequence, the weight of 1 mc of sludge drops to 25 kg and the disposal service cost is reduced around to 1/5 of the starting amount. A further chemical conditioning unit is available to enhance sludge thickening and, then, improve sludge dewatering.
